On Saturday Jan 6, 2007 at approximately 1:30 AM the police responded to the area of East 73rd and St Clair for a flipped over vehicle. The victim (Shedrick Chapman Jr - age 43 - pictured) was found inside the vehicle, the victim of gunshot wounds. He later died at Metro hospital from those wounds. His murder remains unsolved today. On July 9, 2017 at approx 1:15 am 28 yr old Juantez Anderson (pictured) was playing basketball in the 9300 block of Marah Ave. when a dark colored SUV approached. A brief interaction occurred between Mr Anderson and the occupants of the SUV. Shots were fired and Mr Anderson was found unresponsive after being shot several times. On Memorial Day 2017 at approximately 8:50 pm Shonna Adams (age 21) and Jamila Carter ( age 22) were shot as they drove in Carter`s vehicle on Cedar Ave at East 28th street. Carter was shot in the head and Adams was shot in the back. It is possible that someone in another vehicle fired the shots at their car.
